Boho Chic and the Best Vintage with Corinne Fournier

Corinne is a vintage shop owner, curator, and flight attendant based in Montreal. As someone who travels the globe regularly for work, she shops the best vintage from the most stylish international cities and brings it all right back to Montreal - to sell in her perfectly curated boutique called Inedit.e. Discover Corinne's edit of boho chic vintage with a selection of styles from our latest collection.

Tell us a bit about yourself, where you're from, where you live, what you do...

My name is Corinne. I am originally from a small town close to Quebec city. I moved to Montreal with my brother 12 years ago and started working as a flight attendant. This blooming career allowed me, through the years, to travel, explore and discover different cultures, lifestyles, designs and fashion. When the pandemic hit, I needed an outlet and had the desire to open my horizons and be creative. I discovered and fell in love with the beautiful world and community of Vintage. I then decided to create my own brand; La Coco Vintage. I am now one of the owners of Inedit.e, a Vintage Boutique on Saint-Laurent Blvd. My two amazing colleagues (Paris-Montreal & Les Gentils Bandits) and I are so proud to see the projects grow bigger each year.

How would you describe your sense of style?

Boho chic!

Effortless looks capture the essence of my personality. I am a highly sensitive person; I enjoy seeking out beauty and joy in simple things. The way I dress emphasizes self-expression of art, music, love & freedom. I feel myself when I’m natural, elegant and feminine. A touch of colour and eclectic patterns give me confidence. Light and natural fabrics are what I thrive in.

You obviously wear a lot of vintage - what is most important when choosing vintage/second hand clothing?

I like to find unique pieces, anything that naturally catches my eyes. The fabric, quality and the durability of a garment are things I always look for. I have a soft spot for natural fibres and timeless pieces with a twist. My adoration for vintage is a lifestyle, I mainly wear second-hand clothing.

You travel a lot for work - can you share with us some of your best vintage spots around the world

I’ve been thrifting a lot around the world, especially in Paris, London, Rome and Brussels. Some of my favorite spots in Paris would be; Hippy Market, Vintage Désir, La frange à l’envers, Come on eileen, Kiliwatch Paris, Episode & Nice Piece. If I am in London, I always make a stop on Brick Lane. Amazing and famous area for street/modern art, international food and vintage shops. My favorite boutiques in Brussels are Melting Pot Kilo, Docks Caviar and Oxfam Vintage. In Rome, I highly recommend Mercantile Vintage Selection and all the Humana Vintage stores.

Tell me a bit about the looks you put together for these photos?

I am wearing a very nice cropped tweed jacket with the red Roxy capris. I really love the peach and red colour combo. I also chose two boho maxi skirts to wear with the eyelet Esme shirt and finally, I styled the beautiful ginham Bailey shorts with a polka dot blazer. I like to mix different colours and patterns, it makes me feel fresh and energetic!

What are you most excited to wear in the summer months coming up?

Summer is my favourite. It's the season where I can wear flowy and carefree looks. I am truly excited to wear sports shorts with a graphic destroyed tee or a vivid colour cardigan when going out for my errands. Mixing sportswear with more classic, tailored pieces is also a go to.

The magic of summer allows me to romanticize my looks - I like delicate and effortless attire, elegant silhouettes...French vibes blended with western influence.

I also love a pop of colour; baby blue, rosette, and butter yellow are colours that remind me of sunshine and positivity this season.

What’s your favourite EF piece?

It's very hard to choose but ultimately, the red Roxy cargo shorts!
